The Pal-raising system has also gained depth. A total of 72 new Pals have been added, including 47 new species and 25 subspecies, while the introduction of awakening and mutation systems has further enhanced the fun of raising them.
The story has also undergone a major overhaul. The narrative flow, from battles with Bosses in the Palpagos Islands to the journey toward the World Tree, has been reconstructed to feel more natural, and the world-building and narrative have been enriched through new sub-quests, NPCs, and journals. It is being hailed as a transformative change that makes the game feel like an entirely new experience compared to the early access version.
The pricing policy also appears to have had a positive impact. While it is common for early access games to see a price increase upon official release, ‘Palworld’ maintained its original price. Analysts suggest that this strategy of freezing the price while significantly expanding content lowered the barrier to entry for users, leading to a positive reception.
